I was an alto and tenor sax player in the school band.
After high school, I was recruited to play drums in the Bolinas based band "One" which was "discovered" by Grace Slick and Paul Kantner of The Jefferson Airplane after they moved to town. They convinced us to sign to their newly formed record label RCA Grunt Records rather than Chrysalis. We recorded and toured for 5 years until Disco wiped out the Hippie era rock bands.
I then built and ran Rolls Recording studios in San Rafael with my earnings.
In 1991 I decided to get a BS in Business from UC Berkeley and worked in tech until 2002. I then moved into real estate development where I am still working today as a Real Estate and Mortgage Broker.
I reentered the music business in 2008 and run my own classic rock band The 7th Sons.
