A friend of mine (i don't recall his name) flushed an M-80 down a toilet on the second floor at TLHS in 1968/1969. (The statute of limitations has run so I can say this now. :)) The only thing left was a metal pipe sticking out of the wall and ceramic powder spread all over the inside walls of the stall. The toilet was pulverized. We didn't think anything could evaporate the mighty toilet. We were just kids, right? In hindsight, since an M-80 is equivalent to a 1/4 stick of dynamite, we probably should have known better. We had sex education, science and math classes at TLHS but none on explosives, so what can I say? If only the school had rethought its curriculum...?
